About the Irish Channel St. Patrick’s Day Parade The parade begins on the corner of Felicity and Magazine streets around 1:00 PM (or a little earlier, depending on when mass ends). Floats, marching bands, and revelers dressed in green parade up Jackson Avenue, turning onto St. Charles Avenue, Louisiana Avenue, and back onto Magazine Street. The route is subject to change.
